    With pleasure we INVITE you (Children's, Youth & Adults Choral groups) to participate on  The Romagna International Spring  Choir Festival which will be held on 09 - 12 May  2024, in Emilia-Romagna, SAN MARINO,ITALY

   The Festival light motive is to present and promote choral music of different countries, exchange experience and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together, to establish friendships and culture presentation.

 The Emilia Romagna is one of the most beautiful Italian regions, a region that managed to keep up both its rural nature and its maritime splendour. Each time someone travels to this Italian region, one can always explore new itenaries and unique experiences. It’s a vast region, where its people love to live and probably its one of the best tourist destinations in Europe, a region also well known world wide. Infact, Emilia Romagna is definetly unique in its landscapes and its famous seaside locations all around.

Hence this International Choir Festival is definetly going to be held inan excellent location and will definetly serve as the best encounter between different choral cultures.

This non competitive International Choir Festival is open for polyphonic choirs, gospel choirs, male or female or mixed choirs, white voices choirs, alpine choirs, local parish choirs and even children choirs. The participating choirs will have the opportunity to perform their own songs and hence spread their choral culture and traditions with the other participating choirs and the general public attending for the Festival.

Music has no limits. It connects people from all over the world and sometimes can even overcome any language barriers. Choral music helps to express feelings in many different ways and bring cultures, even the most distant, closer together.

In this sense, this Festival is targeted to be a good base for meeting and socialising, between the participating groups.

Its quite easy to understand how much the Emilia Romagna region offers a natural and historical tourist destination. And we can also easily say, that this Festival, on a cultural and artistic level, can link quite well to the historical and cultural background of this Region

The Festival will be spread on 3 different evenings in three beautiful baroque churches, such as those of Rimini, Riccione, Ravenna and Cesenatico amongst others.

Each choir will be able to perform in its own style, which must be religious/sacred, given that the concerts will be held in churches. Each choir can perform "a cappella", or accompanied by an organ or other musical instruments. The Organisation will arrange so that the church organ will be available for each performance. If the church organ, for some reason, cannot be used, it will be replaced by an electric piano/keyboard. Any other instrument must be brought by each choir. At the end of each Festival night, all participating choirs will unite and sing one song all together.

The groups will be accommodated in a 3 *** star Hotel on half board basis.

DRAFT FESTIVAL PROGRAMME

Thursday 9th May

Possible arrival of certain groups. Meeting to explain the programme details and to meet up their respective co-ordinators from the Organisation.

Dinner at the Hotel.

Depending on the arrival time of the group, it will also be possible to organise an optional excursion to one of the tourist localities of the region.

Friday 10th May

Arrival of all other groups in the morning, (groups must arrive before 13:00). For those groups arriving on Thursday, they can either enjoy their free day at the Hotel, or else opt for an optional excursion.

Lunch at the Hotel.

In the evening, the first Festival night to be held in one of the Region churches.

Saturday 11th May

Breakfast at the Hotel

Free morning or possible optional excursions which will be offered bythe Organisation to unique places such as San Marino, Ravenna, Italy in Miniature, etc.

Lunch at the hotel.

In the evening, the second Festival night in another baroque church.

Sunday 12th May

Breakfast at the Hotel.

Lunch at the hotel

In the evening, the Final Festival night, with the participation of all participating choirs. At the end of the concert, there will be official presentations to all choirs, by the Festival Organisation.

Monday 13th May

Breakfast at the Hotel

Departure of all groups. Depending on the departure time, it will also be possible to organise an optional excursion.

N.B.

It is possible that due to flight itenaries, a group can arrive a day or more earlier or else depart a day or more later, than those indicated in the above programme

The above programme is only a draft and indicative one and may undergo changes due to organisational issues. The final programme, with the exact venues and times of all performances will be issued after the

Organisation concludes the list of participants, including the local ones.

The above prices are a unique opportunity since these include:

• 3 nights accommodation in a 3 star Hotel

• Transfers for the performances

For extra persons, who are not performers (friends, family, etc) there is a €5 supplement per person per night.

FESTIVAL PARTICIPATION PACKAGE

3 nights in a 3 Star Hotel on HB Basis ( excluding concert transfers)

The above prices are a unique opportunity since these include:

• 3 nights accommodation in a 3 star Hotel

• Breakfast daily

• Lunch or dinner daily, water included

• Festival registration

• City Tax

• Personal co-ordinators to assist you

For extra persons, who are not performers (friends, family, etc) there is a €5

supplement per person per night.

N.B.

* If due flight itineraries, or else if you prefer so, you will have to spend extra nights, arrangements can be done. Cost of extra nights are €45 per person per night 

* The Group will be accommodated in one of the affiliated Hotels.

* Each group is responsible for airfare/transportation to the Emilia Romagna Region

* Participating groups should take the Festival accommodation packages.

* The Organisation can make the necessary arrangements for the Airport transfers

* Once a group confirms its participation, the group will be asked for a

deposit of 30% of the total participation package costs. This deposit is not refundable
