INVITATION
With pleasure, we INVITE folk ensembles, choral groups, majorette teams, brass bands (children, youth, and adult groups) to participate in the XX International Music & Dance Festival “PARALIA SUMMER FEST” from 12 to 16 June in Paralia - Olympic, Katerini, Greece.
The festival aims to present the cultural traditions of different countries and provide an opportunity for group members to get together, establish friendships, and showcase their culture through dance and music. The idea of the festival is to bring music closer to the people and present it on the streets and squares. The festival is open for folk and choir ensembles, orchestras, and majorettes regardless of members’ gender and age.
Paralia is a famous holiday destination on the Aegean coast of Greece with many sandy beaches. The festival program will be held on the main square in Paralia and Olympic beach.
GENERAL RULES
The festival is a non-competitive showcase of traditional and modern dances and music performed by groups.
Participation is limited to three groups from each country.
Each group may consist of up to 50 members, including dancers, managers, and musicians.
Each ensemble should prepare at least two folk or modern dances with a total performance time of 15–20 minutes, accompanied by live orchestra or USB.
Choral groups should prepare a free program lasting about 15 minutes.
Performances will be held in the evening, allowing free time during the day for sightseeing and excursions.
Groups must send a short CV and photos.
Groups should bring their national flag.
Groups must arrange their own transport for arrival and departure.
ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION
Participants will be accommodated in beachfront hotels or apartments with shared rooms and private bathrooms.
Accommodation includes multiple-bed rooms with full capacity on the beach.
Hotels and apartments include well-known establishments in Paralia and Olympic beach.
Two double rooms will be provided free for group leaders and drivers.
Participation Fees:
119 EUR per person for 3 half-board days (4 days / 3 nights)
149 EUR per person for 4 half-board days (5 days / 4 nights)
179 EUR per person for 5 half-board days (6 days / 5 nights)
Additional double rooms: 12 EUR per person per night
Additional single rooms: 35 EUR per person per night
Tourist tax: 2 EUR per person per night (payable separately)
FESTIVAL ORGANIZERS PROVIDE
One free participant for every 25 dancers (e.g., 24+1, 48+2)
Souvenirs and gifts for each group
Certificates of attendance
Welcome reception with drinks for group leaders
Local tour guide for sightseeing
Festival publicity through social media and press releases
Free parking
OPTIONAL COSTS
Extra night (half-board): 35 EUR per person per night
Airport transfers from Thessaloniki and excursions (fees apply)
INSURANCE
Personal responsibility and health insurance are the obligation of the groups.
First aid and medical services will be available during the festival but must be covered by the groups.
EXTENDED STAY
Participants may extend their stay in Paralia at a special festival price of 33 EUR per person per day (half-board).
TRANSPORT INFORMATION
Transportation from Thessaloniki Airport (75 km from Paralia) can be arranged by the organizers.
The cost will be covered by the group and agreed based on the number of participants.

21:00 – Welcome reception for group leaders
Day 2 (13 June):

11:00 – Optional boat trip in Thermaikos Gulf
18:00 – Dinner
21:00 – Welcome event at Aloha Beach
Day 3 (14 June):
09:00 – Breakfast
11:00 – Free time or optional tours
18:00 – Dinner
19:30 – Festival evening at Paralia Square (certificate and gift presentation)
Day 4 (15 June):
09:00 – Breakfast
11:00 – Excursion to Meteora or beach time
19:30 – Free evening at local taverna
Day 5 (16 June):
08:00 – Breakfast
10:30 – Departure
EXCURSION INFORMATION
Boat cruise in Thermaikos Gulf with traditional Greek lunch including swimming stops.
Full-day trips available to Thessaloniki, Katerini, or Meteora (extra fees apply).
AFTER FESTIVAL
Organizers will provide a link to download photos and videos from the festival.
NOTE
The number of seats is limited to 400 participants or 10–11 ensembles.
