INVITATION

We warmly invite folk ensembles, choral groups, majorette teams, and brass bands—including children, youth, and adult groups—to participate in the XX International Music & Dance Festival “Paralia Festival Days”, which will be held from 3–8 July in Paralia-Katerini, Greece.
The festival aims to present the cultural traditions of different countries and offers participants the chance to establish friendships and showcase their culture through dance and music.
This is a non-competitive event featuring traditional and modern performances.

 Festival Highlights

• Open to children and youth folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, and soloists, as well as other artistic styles.
• Evening performances on Paralia’s squares and seaside venues, leaving daytime free for sightseeing and excursions.
• Special welcome reception and farewell celebration with certificate presentation and gift exchange.
• Festival promotion through social media, newsletters, and printed materials.
• Opportunities for participants to explore famous Greek historical sites and enjoy beautiful beaches.

 Participation Details

Participation is limited to only three groups from each country.
Each group may include up to 50 members, including dancers, managers, and musicians.
Ensembles must prepare at least two folk dances, with a total duration of about 15 minutes, performed live or with USB.
Choral groups should prepare a free program of approximately 15 minutes.
Groups are required to send a short CV and photos of the ensemble, bring their national flag, and arrange their own transportation for arrival and departure.

 Accommodation & Participation Fee

Participants will be accommodated in various hotels and apartments, such as Ifigenia, To Limani, Katerina, London, Phenix, Despina, and Rainbow Resort.

Participation fees include accommodation with two meals per day (breakfast and dinner):

• €129 per person for 4 days / 3 nights
• €155 per person for 5 days / 4 nights
• €189 per person for 6 days / 5 nights

All double and single rooms are available upon request. Multiple-bed rooms will be assigned based on availability.

Additional accommodation options:

• Extra double room: +12 € per person per day
• Extra single room: +35 € per person per day

For every 24 dancers, one participant is free of charge.

Special price for extending your stay: €36 per person per day (half board).

Tourist tax: €2 per person per day, payable additionally.

Drivers and group leaders will be accommodated in two double rooms.

 Insurance

Each group is responsible for personal liability and health insurance.
First aid and medical services will be available during the festival, but medical expenses must be covered by the group.

 Transportation

Transportation from Thessaloniki Airport (about 75 km from Paralia) can be arranged by festival organizers at an additional cost.

  Festival Program

Day 1 (3 July ):
Arrival in Paralia around 13:00, hotel check-in, and free beach time.
Dinner at the hotel from 18:00 to 19:00, followed by a welcome reception for group leaders at 21:00.

Day 2:
Breakfast from 07:00 to 08:30.
From 11:00 to 16:00, boat excursion on the Thermaikos Gulf.
Dinner at the hotel from 18:00 to 19:00, and welcome party at Aloha Beach starting at 21:00.

Day 3:
Breakfast from 07:00 to 08:30.
Boat excursion or optional visits to Meteora or Thessaloniki from 11:00 to 16:00.
Dinner at the hotel from 18:00 to 19:00.
Festival evening on the main square of Paralia or Olympic from 19:30 to 23:00, with certificate presentations and gift exchange.

Day 4:
Breakfast from 09:00 to 10:00.
Free beach time or optional visit to Meteora from 11:00 to 17:00.
Free evening in Paralia from 21:00.

Day 5:
Breakfast from 09:00 to 11:00.
Departure of participants at 11:30.

Optional Extension (Days 5–6):
Day 5: Free time or visit to Katerini; dinner at the hotel.
Day 6: Breakfast and departure.

 Excursions Info

The festival offers several excursions to enrich participants’ experience:

• Boat Excursion in the Blue Waters of Thermaikos Gulf: Swimming in crystal-clear waters, lunch on Variko Beach, and sightseeing.
• Optional visits: Historical sites such as Meteora or Thessaloniki, arranged on request.

 Application & Payment Details

To confirm participation, groups must complete the application form.
A deposit of 30% of the total amount is required upon confirmation (non-refundable).
